Step Ahead Learning Champions Meet the Mayor

HAVING heard of the positive work of Step Ahead Learning and Employment Champions Jean Chadwick and Lee Davies, the Mayor of Tameside; Councillor John Sullivan invited them for a tour of his private parlour.

 
The champions were among a dozen people invited for the event, which was put on especially by the council for workers who had gone that extra mile during the bad winter months. Continue reading »

THE job prospects of Hattersley residents have received a welcomed boost, thanks to the arrival of Work Solutions.

HNP Benefits From Future Jobs Fund

A NEW scheme in Tameside, helping young people back into work, is already proving beneficial for Hattersley, with the Neighbourhood Partnership (HNP) gaining two new members of staff thanks to the Future Jobs Fund.

 
The scheme gives young people between the ages of 18-24 a chance to develop their skills by giving them a six-month placement where they can gain valuable experience, access training and add to their CV.    Continue reading »
