The Hattersley Terrier

With the exciting developments coming on stream in Hattersley, local partners decided to look for a new image that could be used to identify and promote the area and its initiatives.

After viewing several proposals a group of people closely involved in working in Hattersley, including local councillors and residents, settled on the Terrier image as was different, stood out and its versatility allows it to do so much more than the usual 'run of the mill' logo.

Encouragingly, the Terrier has already been adopted by local groups with Hattersley FC changing their nickname to 'The Terriers' and using the image on their club badge and other groups such as the Hattersley Healthy Walkers, the Men's Group and an older peoples residents group following suit.

In addition, various local initiatives such as the Sport Development Team, the Community Safety Resource Centre and the Step Ahead Advice and Guidance Service have also integrated the Terrier with their identity.

The Terrier is cheeky, independent and spirited and its popularity is going from strength to strength, just like the area itself.
