The area’s huge potential has been recognised by a group of public and private sector partners who together are investing an estimated £250m in the area over the next few years.
Between 2007 and 2014 this will see:
- building of around 830 new houses
- improvement to existing social housing
- new commercial developments
- community facilities
- associated environmental enhancements
