Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership are working to promote adoption of a community development approach within all areas of community/agency work.
A key feature of this is the need for agencies to use innovative and resident orientated methods of working and consultation - to give residents the fullest opportunity to become involved and contribute their views and expertise.
Community consultation
Examples of the consultations that residents have contributed to recently include:
- the physical masterplan and development of the area
- desired community facilities
- housing stock transfer
- the introduction of play spaces
