Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership employs a community development team – to ensure that residents can continue to play an effective and leading role in local decision-making. The team aims to:
Involve people
Make sure that local people can influence decisions affecting their area and have the chance to be involved in defining and addressing local issues.
Support people
Build the confidence of community groups and local people by recognising that everyone has skills and knowledge to contribute.
Challenge inequalities, so that everyone can reach their full potential.
Connect people
Promote links and co-operation between people and groups – making sure that all voices are heard and that organisations working in the area listen to local people’s views and work with communities effectively.
