A wide range of key individuals, groups and organisations are working together to help achieve Hattersley’s ambitious plans – as set out in the vision for the area.
Many work through groups coordinated by the Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership. They include:
- local schools and colleges
- Jobcentre Plus
- police and fire services
- Sure Start Hattersley
- Tameside and Glossop Primary Care Trust
- local businesses
Land development
The three main partners working on physical transformation of Hattersley are:
- Tameside Council (including Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership);
- English Partnerships – the Government’s national regeneration agency
- Peak Valley Housing Association (a local subsidiary of Contour Housing Group) that now owns the majority of the social housing in Hattersley
